Sandals are our shoes of choice once the weather allows for them. My kids aren’t fans of socks and shoes, and since they are the first to jump in a puddle, or creek if they come across one, sandals make the most sense.

Of course, they don’t want to wear tennis shoes even when they won’t be headed into a puddle, so I am always on the hunt for shoes that will transition from play time to something a little “nicer”.

I’ve found some sandals that kids can play in, and you are going to love!

1. Crocs Isabella Sandals

What’s more versatile than crocs?  I love these because they don’t look like typical crocs.  They’re easy to clean, and quick to dry, and they come in tons of colors.

2. Reef Grom Roundhouse Sandal

I love a good pair of flip flops.  P had a pair of these when he was about 3.  They were my favorite sandals.  He wore them everywhere, and with everything.  They held up beautifully!

3. Teva Hurricane Sandal

These are a great sandal for an adventurous kid.  They are also super easy for kids to adjust on their own.  I love all of the different styles they have too!

4. Chaco Kids Z1 Ecotread Sandal

These are a bit on the pricey side, but like most of the shoes in this list, there is also an adult version.  I am told these are super comfy, and last forever.  I’m dying to get a pair of my own.  Like the tevas there are so many different styles too!

5. Crocs Bump It K Sandals

Crocs for the win again!  These are a little different than the classic crocs, and I love them!  Let me tell you a little story…  when P was tiny, my sister bought him his first pair of crocs for his birthday.  I laughed and said they were the ugliest shoes ever.  Just a couple of days later, I ate my words.  They’re pretty much the perfect shoes for kids to play in, and they basically match with anything.  Wash them off, and they basically look brand new.  Added bonus, any kid over the age of 1.5 can put them on themselves.  #winning
